A passion for all aspects of fabrics and yarns resulted in experiments with a wide variety of textile media and techniques.
Adventures with velvet led to a range of samples for cushions, throws and scarves which further developed after commissions started.
Other experiments have involved tweeds and velvets, embossing and dying techniques, and knitted cushions until now we have a company, Perfection of Production, and the need for an internet presence.
Think of it as more of a velvet revolution than a cottage industry.

Following her recent succesful knitting residency at Holly Lodge Girls College in Liverpool, Helen is the subject of an exclusive exhibition at the city's Bluecoat Display Centre.
A special selection of her work - In The Window - is available to view at the renowned city centre contemporary craft and design gallery until Sunday, March 31.
